A CALM YET POWERFUL LEADER

Great leaders are great listeners

I listen to understand, then act to develop.

I may not be a superstar, but I am the ultimate teammate for our shared success.

The bridge you can trust and rely on

Ice hockey’s potential is vast, but we need a solid bridge to connect with others.

I will be the strategic link that connects our MNA voices to the global stage.

— The Action Plan

GROW TOGETHER
COMPETE STRONGER
one UNITED HOCKEY

Five Pillars for Asian Growth & Next-Generation Global Hockey
Practical solutions, direct investment, and unified regional advancement. Select a priority to view key initiatives and action plans.

We don’t need many separate events. I propose one clear structure with real promotion and relegation — a 6-team Top Division and a 6-team Division 1, twelve teams competing for something that matters.

Top Division

6 teams · two groups of 3 · Men & Women

1 team relegated to Division 1

Division 1

6 teams · two groups of 3 · Men & Women

1 promoted · 1 relegated to the Development Cup if needed

Development Cup

Open to emerging and newcomer MNAs

Pathway to Division 1

7day compact tournament — practice, three round-robin games, a rest day, semi-finals, relegation and medal games
6events every season — 4 Asian Championships (2 Men, 2 Women) and 2 Development Cups
Y2seeding by IIHF World Ranking in Year 1, then an official IIHF Asian Ranking
  • Adapted from the modern World Championship format so every game counts.
  • Official Asian Championship Regulations tailored to our region’s needs.
  • Direct work to secure Organising Committee subsidies for host nations.
  • Establish a Technical Task Force to oversee expansion from 4 to 6 teams.

Korea already invests almost half a million dollars every year in neighbouring countries. I promise to bring even more to the table — and to shift the focus away from off-ice meetings, directly onto the ice.

MNA Cooperation Camps

Invite at least two nations every year to train in Korea with full operational and technical support, expanding beyond traditional partners into Central and Northern Asia.

Goaltender Development

Consistent, year-round goaltending clinics across participating federations — the position Asia most often has to develop alone.

Women’s Continental Cup

A new 8-team platform of club or combined regional sides — Southeast Asia, the Middle East and more — playing 14 competitive games over a two- or three-week window, backed by IIHF funding mechanisms.

Direct Field Involvement

A personal commitment to deliver hands-on, on-ice coaching at local member clinics. I will put my skates on.

Asia hosted two recent Olympic Games, and that world-class legacy is still alive. Lack of ice time is Asia’s biggest challenge — and we have the solution.

  • Gangneung Hockey Centre. Open access to the 2018 Olympic venue for member federation training camps, youth showcases and test matches.
  • Jincheon National Training Center. Elite dryland facilities, recovery centres and on-ice resources to fast-track athletic performance.
  • Regional hub network. Predictable training windows and lower venue rental barriers for visiting Asian delegations.

We will open our doors. Your teams are welcome.
Another global hockey development hub in the Far East — benefiting not only neighbouring countries, but hockey all over the world.

My priority is standing with you in development.

MAXMaximizing access to the development fund through a joint project
3Nations already proved the consortium model at the Asia NCAA Women’s Development Showcase
  • Proven multi-nation model. Scale the joint consortium approach to more federations and more projects.
  • Administrative bridge. Full technical and paperwork assistance so smaller MNAs are not blocked by grant criteria.
  • Target grant delivery. Funding directed at on-ice activity and equipment access, not paperwork.

Strong communication is not about shouting louder; it is about clarity, precision and good common sense. I will visit you and listen to you.

  • 24/7 dedicated MNA helpdesk. Continuous channels for operational, regulatory and tournament questions, reaching both the regional office and IIHF headquarters.
  • Asia Committee expansion. Balanced regional voices across East, Southeast, South and Central Asia.
  • Project delivery task force. A hands-on unit of 4–6 regional experts helping smaller federations write proposals, prepare GGF applications and execute programmes alongside the Asian Development Manager.
  • Listening in person. Meeting you on your home ice to solve real problems, rather than communicating only from a desk.

Adapting to emerging trends and introducing innovative formats to engage the next generation while expanding hockey’s global footprint.

  • 3x3 Hockey Pathway. Establish and support competitive 3x3 leagues and regional tournaments, building a clear competitive pathway toward Olympic inclusion.
  • Division I Expansion & Empowerment. Expand Division I from 12 to 16 teams to provide greater promotion opportunities to the Top Division, while granting member national associations broader commercial and marketing rights.
  • Next-Generation Working Group. Establish a dedicated governing body to drive 3x3 implementation and pioneer emerging initiatives, including mixed-NOC events, e-sports integration and digital fan-engagement platforms.

FACE OFF

Winning the start to control the game

Hockey is a sport of rapid transitions. While many factors are unpredictable, we can command the game’s momentum with a precise face-off plan.

I firmly believe that ice hockey, especially in developing MNAs, will reach new heights if we start with a solid, strategic foundation.

TAPE TO TAPE

Precise support. Reliable execution.

When you understand your teammates and trust the system, “tape to tape” passing becomes second nature.

A superior development platform & mentorship programs

I will deliver the perfect tape-to-tape pass to create a brighter future for developing hockey nations.

THE HOCKEY HUB

A global legacy for hockey growth

One goal: bigger opportunity

My mission is to bridge the gap between passion and performance. Regardless of geography or local resources, I will advocate for accessible, collaborative platforms that provide elite infrastructure and world-class education — a pathway for every federation to the international stage.

Actionable projects are already in motion.

On-ice development

  • Leveraging the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic legacies
  • Specialised camps for players, women and youth
  • Formal education for coaches and referees
  • A 3-on-3 Mixed Nations Cup for developing countries

Off-ice development

  • Workshops for federation administration and event management seminars
  • MNA leadership education
  • Coach, official and equipment manager developer programmes for long-term regional expertise
