“I have lived every part of the game.
Now I want to help the sport grow.”
Ice hockey’s potential in Asia is vast. What we need is a solid bridge — and a leader who has stood on every side of it.
— Who I Am

I listen to understand, then act to develop.
I may not be a superstar, but I am the ultimate teammate for our shared success.
Ice hockey’s potential is vast, but we need a solid bridge to connect with others.
I will be the strategic link that connects our MNA voices to the global stage.
— The Action Plan
Five strategic priorities for Asian ice hockey development — practical solutions, direct support and unified regional growth. Select a priority to read the detail.
We don’t need many separate events. I propose one clear structure with real promotion and relegation — a 6-team Top Division and a 6-team Division 1, twelve teams competing for something that matters.
6 teams · two groups of 3 · Men & Women
1 team relegated to Division 1
6 teams · two groups of 3 · Men & Women
1 promoted · 1 relegated to the Development Cup if needed
Open to emerging and newcomer MNAs
Pathway to Division 1
Korea already invests half a million dollars every year in neighbouring countries. I promise to bring even more to the table — and to shift the focus away from off-ice meetings, directly onto the ice.
Invite at least two nations every year to train in Korea with full operational and technical support, expanding beyond traditional partners into Central and Northern Asia.
Consistent, year-round goaltending clinics across participating federations — the position Asia most often has to develop alone.
A new 8-team platform of club or combined regional sides — Southeast Asia, the Middle East and more — playing 14 competitive games over a two-week window, backed by IIHF funding mechanisms.
A personal commitment to deliver hands-on, on-ice coaching at local member clinics. I will put my skates on.
Asia hosted two recent Olympic Games, and that world-class legacy is still alive. Lack of ice time is Asia’s biggest challenge — and we have the solution.
We will open our doors. Your teams are welcome.
You do not have to apply for funding alone. We just proved this with Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong in our NCAA women’s development programme.
Strong communication is not about shouting louder; it is about clarity, precision and good common sense. I will visit you and listen to you.
Winning the start to control the game
Hockey is a sport of rapid transitions. While many factors are unpredictable, we can command the game’s momentum with a precise face-off plan.
I firmly believe that ice hockey, especially in developing MNAs, will reach new heights if we start with a solid, strategic foundation.
— A strategic roadmap for a unified hockey ecosystem
When you understand your teammates and trust the system, “tape to tape” passing becomes second nature.
I will deliver the perfect tape-to-tape pass to create a brighter future for developing hockey nations.
A global legacy for hockey growth
My mission is to bridge the gap between passion and performance. Regardless of geography or local resources, I will advocate for accessible, collaborative platforms that provide elite infrastructure and world-class education — a pathway for every federation to the international stage.
Actionable projects are already in motion.
— Infrastructure & Olympic Legacy
Using world-class infrastructure to create an accessible development platform that bridges the global gap in hockey.
The 2018 PyeongChang Olympic venue, ready to welcome member federation training camps, youth showcases and test matches — with elite facilities that speed up your growth.
Korea’s elite training campus — dryland facilities, recovery centres, ice and full-service athlete accommodation, opened up as a regional high-performance hub for Asia.
— Hockey in my DNA
Elite experience at the Olympics, the Asian Winter Games and IIHF World Championships. As a former national team player I deeply understand the needs of athletes, and I am committed to creating the ultimate environment where players can thrive on the global stage.
Video tagging, statistical analysis and on-ice coaching. My coaching background drives my passion for continuous improvement — I will develop practical, accessible development programmes and, as always, I am ready to put my skates on to lead from the front.
With extensive experience in national federations, Olympic organising committees and hockey operations, I have mastered the art of sports administration. I believe in the power of solid structures and clear regulations — and I will use that foundation to drive more frequent, high-impact activity for the Asian committee.
— The Core Values
My priority is to be a bridge that is always open. I am committed to being a leader who is present, reachable and responsive to every member nation.
I focus on results that work on the ice. Every programme will be designed with the local reality and the specific needs of the federation in mind.
We grow as a team. I will work in full synergy with international offices and regional partners to ensure our growth is aligned and unified.
Beyond policy and planning, I am committed to execution. I am a leader who is ready to put my skates on to ensure our shared goals are met.
Promise #1
I will be your teammate that you want to play with. I will empower you to make your voice heard around the world. I will serve as your bridge to the IIHF leadership.
Promise #2
I will bring more resources to the Asian programme, both from within and outside the IIHF. Together, we will strengthen our initiatives and deliver tangible, measurable results for hockey development.
Promise #3
I have great respect for the current IIHF programmes. My goal is to build on this foundation by expanding our efforts and focusing on practical initiatives, in close collaboration with the development perspective.
