We don’t need many separate events. I propose one clear structure with real promotion and relegation — a 6-team Top Division and a 6-team Division 1, twelve teams competing for something that matters.

Korea already invests half a million dollars every year in neighbouring countries. I promise to bring even more to the table — and to shift the focus away from off-ice meetings, directly onto the ice.
MNA Cooperation Camps
Invite at least two nations every year to train in Korea with full operational and technical support, expanding beyond traditional partners into Central and Northern Asia.
Goaltender Development
Consistent, year-round goaltending clinics across participating federations — the position Asia most often has to develop alone.
Women’s Continental Cup
A new 8-team platform of club or combined regional sides — Southeast Asia, the Middle East and more — playing 14 competitive games over a two-week window, backed by IIHF funding mechanisms.
Direct Field Involvement
A personal commitment to deliver hands-on, on-ice coaching at local member clinics. I will put my skates on.
Asia hosted two recent Olympic Games, and that world-class legacy is still alive. Lack of ice time is Asia’s biggest challenge — and we have the solution.
- Gangneung Hockey Centre. Open access to the 2018 Olympic venue for member federation training camps, youth showcases and test matches.
- Jincheon National Training Center. Elite dryland facilities, recovery centres and on-ice resources to fast-track athletic performance.
- Regional hub network. Predictable training windows and lower venue rental barriers for visiting Asian delegations.
We will open our doors. Your teams are welcome.
You do not have to apply for funding alone. We just proved this with Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong in our NCAA women’s development programme.

- Proven multi-nation model. Scale the joint consortium approach to more federations and more projects.
- Administrative bridge. Full technical and paperwork assistance so smaller MNAs are not blocked by grant criteria.
- Target grant delivery. Funding directed at on-ice activity and equipment access, not paperwork.

- 24/7 dedicated MNA helpdesk. Continuous channels for operational, regulatory and tournament questions, reaching both the regional office and IIHF headquarters.
- Asia Committee expansion. Balanced regional voices across East, Southeast, South and Central Asia.
- Project delivery task force. A hands-on unit of 4–6 regional experts helping smaller federations write proposals, prepare GGF applications and execute programmes alongside the Asian Development Manager.
- Listening in person. Meeting you on your home ice to solve real problems, rather than communicating only from a desk.
